Anya's Ghost

Goodreads Summary
Anya could really use a friend. But her new BFF isn't kidding about the "Forever" part.
Of all the things Anya expected to find at the bottom of an old well, a new friend was not one of them. Especially not a new friend who’s been dead for a century.
Falling down a well is bad enough, but Anya's normal life might actually be worse. She's embarrassed by her family, self-conscious about her body, and she's pretty much given up on fitting in at school. A new friend—even a ghost—is just what she needs.

My Thoughts
This being only the second graphic novel I have read, I wasn't too sure what to expect. I gotta say... I was pretty pleased.

The illustrations in this book are amazing. I loved the style of the characters (ok not Emily so much, but...) and the overall colour choice really fit the mood of the novel. Ok some of you are going to be like, "Renee it's black and white" but it isn't. They are hues of purple in there too. Stop judging me! It's pretty!

The plot was a little odd. Anya isn't exactly the most lovable of characters, but she is really realistic. She's who we fear that we are.

It was good. I'm glad I bought this for the  artwork alone. If you're interested in checking out a good graphic novel than pick this one up.
